Project Description

This project will focus on the replacement of the original 1960's water main along Dauphine Avenue (from 3856 Dauphine Avenue to Charlemagne Drive).

Construction Notification Letters:

On Wednesday, June 8 2022, the Village mailed the construction notice for water main work. Please see a copy of this notice at this link.

This week, the contractor began work on punch list items.

 Next week, the contractor intends to continue work on punch list items.

September 23, 2022

This week, the contractor completed restoration work and joint sealing on Dauphine Avenue. Residents should regularly water the new sod so that it takes.

Next week, the contractor intends to begin work on punch list items.

September 19, 2022

Last week, the contractor completed concrete panel replacement by removing and pouring panels on Dauphine Avenue.

This week, the contractor intends to begin work on restoration and joint sealing.

September 9, 2022

This week, the contractor continued concrete panel replacement by removing and pouring panels on Dauphine Avenue.

Next week, the contractor intends to continue working on concrete panel replacement. Residents who will lose driveway access will be provided a notice.

September 2, 2022

This week, the contractor began concrete panel replacement by removing and pouring panels on the south side of Dauphine Avenue.

Next week, the contractor intends to continue working on concrete panel replacement. Residents who will lose driveway access will be provided a notice.

August 26, 2022

This week, the contractor performed two water main shutoffs. On Monday, August 22, 2022 there was a water main shutoff to disconnect the old water main from the system, and connect the new water main system on the West side of the project. On Tuesday, August 23, 2022 there was a water main shutoff to disconnect the old water main from the system at the intersection of Charlemagne Drive and Dauphine Avenue.

On Saturday August 27, 2022 the contractor intends to begin concrete work by saw-cutting concrete panels. Next week, the contractor intends to begin concrete panel removal and pouring of new panels. Residents who will lose driveway access will be provided prior notice.

August 22, 2022

Last week, the contractor began transferring residential water services from the old water main to the new water main.

This week, the contractor intends to perform two water main shutoffs. Impacted residents will be provided a notice. On Monday August 22, 2022 there will be a water main shutoff to disconnect the old water main from the system and connect the new water main system on the West side of the project. On Tuesday August 23, 2022 there will be a water main shutoff to disconnect the old water main from the system at the intersection of Charlemagne Drive and Dauphine Avenue.

August 12, 2022

This week, the contractor did not perform any work.

Next week, the contractor intends to begin transferring residential water services from the old water main to the new water main. Residents will be provided a notice with the anticipated transfer date at least one day prior to the transfer. Once all services have been transferred, the contractor intends to perform water main shutoffs to disconnect the old water main.

August 5, 2022

This week, the contractor conducted chlorination tests on the new water main.

Next week, the contractor intends to begin transferring residential water services from the old water main to the new water main. Residents will be provided a notice with the anticipated transfer date at least one day prior to the transfer.

July 29, 2022

This week the contractor continued work on the water main. Next week the contractor intends to conduct chlorination tests on the new water main.

July 22, 2022

This week the contractor performed saw cutting and began water main installation. On Friday, July 22, 2022 the contractor intends to perform a water main shut off. Notices were sent to affected residents. During the shut off, the intersection of Dauphine Avenue and Charlemagne Drive will be closed to traffic. Next week the contractor intends to continue water main installation.

July 15, 2022

This week the contractor intends to continue mobilization. Next week the contractor intends to begin saw cutting and start on water main installation.

July 7, 2022

The contractor does not intend to perform any work this week. Next week the contractor intends to begin mobilization and begin saw cutting of the pavement.

July 1, 2022

Starting Tuesday July 5, 2022, work will begin on this project. The contractor will mobilize equipment and materials along with saw cutting in the street.

June 9, 2022

The contractor intends to begin construction on this project on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

April 11, 2022

Work on this project is anticipated to begin in May 2022. Future updates will be posted here as they become available.
