Project Description

The planned improvements include the reconstruction of Cherry Lane between Cedar Lane and Meadow Road. The existing concrete pavement will be converted to asphalt pavement and deteriorated curb and gutter will be replaced.

The work will begin on May 1, 2023 and starting May 8, 2023, Cherry Lane Underpass will have the northern half shut down in order to facilitate Phase I of the project. During Phase I, one-way traffic will be maintained on the southern half of Cherry Lane, allowing eastbound traffic to pass through the work area.

Once Phase I has been completed, Cherry Lane Underpass will have the southern half shut down in order to facilitate Phase II of the project. During Phase II, one-way traffic will be maintained on the northern half of Cherry Lane, allowing westbound traffic to pass through the work area. The complete reopening of Cherry Lane is anticipated to be no later than July 7, 2023, and the final competition date is anticipated to be no later than July 14, 2023.

The start date for construction will depend on weather, as well as contractor/subcontractor availability.

A full description of the project can be found as part of Resolution 2023-43, which awarded the project to the Village's contractor.

Construction Notification Letters:

The Village will be mailing initial construction notices to all residents with homes that are located in the project's vicinity. Future updates will be posted here as they become available.
