Community Communications
The Village of Northbrook utilizes a variety of tools to communicate and connect with residents and businesses.
Emergency Notifications
The Village uses Northbrook Notify to send voice and text and/or email messages to businesses and residents during local emergencies. Northbrook Notify messages pertain to time-sensitive, common-interest issues such as emergency street closures, police activity, or tornado warnings. These messages supplement other communication modes and public safety/first responder services. Sign up here - please note that this form automatically signs you up for non-emergency notifications as well. The Village will not share any personal information.
In addition to Northbrook Notify, anyone can text 60062 to 888777 to sign up for emergency text-only messages.
Social Media
The Village and Police Department use social media to engage the community and to share timely information about Village services, programs, events, and activities. Like and follow us on the following platforms!
Northbrook Police Department Social Media
The Northbrook Police Department uses social media to provide real-time updates and share information on police activity. The pages are also used to post public safety announcements, inclement weather updates, safety tips, and Northbrook news to engage with the community.
Social Media Policy
Read the Village’s social media policy for the purpose, terms of use, and comment posting guidelines on the Village’s social media platforms.
E-Newsletter
The Village sends a weekly Northbrook Voice E-Newsletter with Northbrook news, events, and community updates. Additional e-newsletters are sent as needed for pertinent information. Sign up here - please note that this form automatically signs you up for emergency notifications as well.
