Project Description
This project involves constructing stormwater improvements at the Surrey Lane cul-de-sac, including a conveyance storm sewer from the cul-de-sac to the Lee Road existing storm sewer and a low/flood overflow structure at the east side of the Surrey Lane cul-de-sac with a restrictor plate. Also, a relief swale will be constructed within the drainage easement. Two inlets will be added within the cul-de-sac area to improve drainage. A short segment of the Lee Road storm sewer system will be modified to accommodate the new storm sewer and flood overflow path. Currently, this area experiences cul-de-sac, front yard and rear yard flooding.Enabling Resolution
On Tuesday, June 9, the Village Board approved Resolution 2020-78, which awarded the construction contract to Lenny Hoffman Excavating, Inc.

November 30, 2020
This project is now substantially complete.
October 26, 2020
Storm sewer work in the Surrey Ln cul-de-sac is expected to be completed this week. Also the cul-de-sac curb and gutter will be removed and replaced as a part of the project and this work is expected to be completed this week. After this week the remaining project work includes milling and repaving the cul-de-sac area and restoring disturbed parkways on Lee and Surrey. The project is expected to be substantially completed in November.
September 21, 2020
Due to unexpected delays on the other project sites included in the construction contract, the work on Surrey Lane will now not begin until later next month.
Due to a change in the sequencing of work, the Contractor is now expected to begin work on the Surrey Lane stormwater project towards the end of September. Updates will be posted as they become available.
June 11, 2020 - Open House Announced
On Thursday, June 11, the Village mailed initial notices for this project and announced a virtual Open House would be held on Thursday, June 25. Details of how to attend the Open House will be posted in the near future.
June 10, 2020 - Work Award
On Tuesday, June 9, the Village Board approved Resolution 2020-78, which awarded the construction contract to Lenny Hoffman Excavating, Inc.
