All motor vehicles registered to a Northbrook residential or business address are required to have a Village vehicle sticker. Also, pet tags are required for all cats and dogs six months and older. Renewal notices for vehicle stickers and pet tags will be mailed at the end of May.
Sales begin June 1 with the Village's online payment system, by mail, or via our postage free dropboxes. Sales begin in-person at Village Hall on June 7. Stickers are $30, $15 for seniors, and will be mailed after June 1. Note that we will not be able to accommodate specific or low number requests. Stickers and pet tags must be purchased and displayed by September 1.
Residents and businesses who donate $20+ will receive a vehicle sticker featuring artwork from CATCH’S “Northbrook Cares, Community Together” initiative, promoting community connection.
Your vehicle stickers and/or animal tags may arrive separately.
Purchasing Online: Visit our online payment system here. With this platform, you can purchase sticker and pet tag renewals, purchase for new vehicles and pets, or delete ones you no longer own, all with the convenience of a credit card. Before starting, you will need your license plate number, vehicle ID, rabies certificate number, and pet ID from the application(s) you received in the mail. Follow this step-by-step instruction manual to guide you through the process.
After payment, we suggest saving your online receipt until your vehicle sticker(s) and pet tag(s) arrive. Your stickers will be mailed soon.

Postage free drop boxes are located behind Village Hall (1225 Cedar Lane), at the Northbrook Police Station (1401 Landwehr Road), and at Wood Oaks Junior High (1250 Sanders Road).
Purchasing In-Person (Starting June 7): Purchases can be made at the Village Hall front counter during business hours, starting June 7.
