Recently, the Village has received an increase in customer service complaints about Waste Management (formerly Advanced Disposal) services. Staff is currently working with Waste Management to resolve the issues residents have been reporting.
Waste Management is currently experiencing low staffing of both drivers and call center representatives throughout the Midwest region, causing issues like long call center delays and missed pickups. In order to solve these issues, Waste Management is conducting a robust hiring campaign to employ more drivers and call center representatives in the area.
While the Village is working with Waste Management on solutions, Waste Management has created an interactive website and customer service portal that will allow customers to manage their account, make requests, chat with a representative, and even track when their trash will be picked up.
