It was constructed with Village funding in 1984 to provide area seniors the ability to live in Northbrook at a very affordable rental rate. Each apartment is about 630 square feet with a full kitchen. This is an entirely independent living apartment; residents are responsible for their own affairs. Crestwood Place offers a variety of social programs and other activities for residents.
Rent currently ranges from $712 to $801 per month, based on the size and location of the unit. Priority is given to current residents of incorporated Northbrook, then to retired Village of Northbrook employees and then to parents of Northbrook residents, in that order. Applicants must be 62 years of age or older to apply.
The Village contracts with a management firm to oversee daily operations and maintenance of Crestwood Place.
