Zoning and Design Review Applications on File

The Village of Northbrook offers several paths to seek zoning relief for variations, special permits, planned developments, and site plan approval which all require a public hearing process. Similarly, there is a public review process for Design Review Permit applications for modifications to site, buildings, and signage in the Village Green Overlay District (downtown) of Northbrook. This page will be updated with information of applications placed on file to be considered by the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, as well as zoning matters undergoing review by the Village Board of Trustees.

The Village is seeking qualified mixed-use and multi-family developers to partner with the Village on the redevelopment of a Village Owned property located at 1657 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL 60062. Qualified developers should review the information provided in the SoQ/P registration form and submit the requisite information for review.
