Project Description

The planned improvements include adding an all-way stop with ADA sidewalk ramps at the intersection of Cedar Lane and Cherry Lane, constructing a new pedestrian mid-block crossing with a flashing beacon on Cedar Lane between the Library and Village Hall, and asphalt patching.  

Enabling Resolution

On Tuesday, August 16 2022, the Village mailed the construction notice for the Cedar Lane Roadway Improvements Project. Please see a copy of this notice at this link.

Current Project Update

October 28, 2022

The contractor is substantially complete with work on this project.  Minor “punch list” items remain and will be addressed in the coming weeks.

October 21, 2022

This week, the contractor finished paving and striping work.

Next week, the contractor intends to begin work on punch list items.

October 15, 2022

This week, the contractor finished concrete work by the Library, and the intersection of Cherry Lane and Cedar Lane, and started final restoration of parkway areas.

Next week, the contractor intends to begin paving operations on Cherry Lane and Cedar Lane. On Monday October 17, 2022 the intersection of Cherry Lane and Cedar Lane will be converted to a Four-Way Stop. Please exercise caution when driving through the intersection for your safety and the safety of other drivers and pedestrians.

October 7, 2022

This week, the contractor continued concrete work at the intersection of Cherry Lane and Cedar Lane.

Next week, the contractor intends to continue concrete work at the intersection of Cherry Lane and Cedar Lane. The contractor also intends to begin paving operations on Cedar Lane.

September 30, 2022

This week, the contractor performed no work.

Next week, the contractor intends to continue concrete work at the intersection of Cherry Lane and Cedar Lane. No work will occur Wednesday.

September 23, 2022

This week, the contractor continued concrete work and began pavement removal and patching by the parking stalls.

Next week, the contractor intends to continue concrete work at the intersection of Cherry Lane and Cedar Lane. No work will occur Monday or Tuesday next week.

September 19, 2022

Last week, the contractor worked on concrete removal and pouring.

This week, the contractor intends to begin pavement removal and asphalt patching.

September 9, 2022

This week, the contractor worked on mobilization, site layout, and saw-cutting.

Next week, the contractor intends to begin pavement removal and begin the construction of the concrete gutter and sidewalk. Parking stalls on the West side of Cedar Lane will be closed next week due to the construction of the concrete gutter.

September 2, 2022

Tuesday September 6, 2022, the contractor intends to begin working on this project. The contractor will begin with mobilization and tree protection.

July 1, 2022

Work on this project is anticipated to begin in September 2022. Future updates will be posted here as they become available.
