WaterSmart The Village of Northbrook has launched the WaterSmart portal, a free service that helps customers track their water use, conserve resources, and prevent costly leaks.
Water Production The Village pumps water directly from Lake Michigan and provides all treatment necessary to make it safe to use and drink. The treatment process is managed by the Village's Water Plant. This section overviews that process and more.
Water Distribution Water distribution encompasses all activities, maintenance, service and repairs associated with the transmission of potable water. This system begins at the Water Plant and terminates at the individual customer's water meter, excluding the portion of the customer's service line on private property.
