This page includes a listing of all water main projects completed by the Village since 2021. Each project is named and includes the year of completion at the end to help you find historical information and updates on projects in the community. 2021/2022 - Willow Creek Subdivision
The Willow Creek projects will be completed in two phases. The first phase will include water main improvements including the replacement of the original 1960's main on Longmeadow Drive, Elm Ridge Drive and Kingston Drive. Following completion of that work, asphalt roadway resurfacing will be completed on those same roadways. Phase two work will be completed in 2022 on the portions of Canterbury, Woodland and Wood located within the Willow Creek subdivision.

2022 - Dauphine Avenue Water Main Improvements
This project will focus on the replacement of the original 1960's water main along Dauphine Avenue (from 3856 Dauphine Avenue to Charlemagne Drive).

2022 - South Lane Water Main Improvements
The South Lane Water Main Improvements project will include both water main replacement and asphalt resurfacing. The first part of the project will include water main improvements including the replacement of the original 1940's main on South Lane, while also looping the system to Driftwood Lane to further improve the system. Following completion of that work, asphalt roadway resurfacing will be completed on South Lane.

2023 - Northbrook Highlands and Park Subdivision Projects
This project will focus on the replacement of the original 1950's main on Butternut Lane, Penfold Place, and Summerton Place. Additionally, the original 1940’s main will be replaced on Ash Lane, Cedar Lane, and Peachtree Lane. This project will occur in conjunction with the scheduled street rehabilitation projects along these roads.

2024 – Dundee Road Water Main Improvements
This project will focus on the replacement of critical transmission water main that was originally installed in the 1960's on Dundee Road between Western Avenue and Meadow Road. This main will be installed primarily using trenchless methods to cross the West Fork of the North Branch of the Chicago River as well as the Metra Rail Corridor. Connections will be made to existing water mains near the intersections of Dundee Road and Ash Lane, Fair Lane, and Meadow Road.

2024 - Northbrook Glen Water Main and Roadway Improvements
The Village of Northbrook plans for and funds the replacement of water main each year. A particular focus is placed on replacing 6-inch cast iron water mains as this is historically the worst performing main within the water distribution system. This project will focus on the replacement of the original 6-inch cast iron water main located on Eastwood Lane, Larrabee Lane, and Ridge Road, from Hillside Road to Lee Road, as well as Wendy Drive and Daryl Lane. The project is currently being designed with construction anticipated in 2024.
